Camsan Ordu used to operate their motor direct on line (DOL). This reflected to a high starting current and a high voltage drop causing damages at the motor and high costs of energy.
Hence, the customer needed a service partner who could provide a suitable retrofit solution to increase performance and energy savings.
Siemens offered a retrofit solution to replace the DOL system by installing a low-voltage frequency converter out of the current SINAMICS product family.
The solution included the following details:
SINAMICS G120 converter
RPM control
After establishment of the RPM control the system performance increased directly.
Thanks to the customized retrofit project, the customer is able to focus on
their basic maintenance tasks, while a Siemens service expert is responsible
for the expert maintenance on-site.
Furthermore, the customer can benefit from the following:
Increased plant availability and reliability
Increased productivity and reduced unplanned downtimes
Clearly defined reaction times in case of a shutdown
Ensured spare part availability and fast delivery
Reduced lifecycle and maintenance costs
On-time reaction with service engineer
