To create a solution to improve the management of entrances to the closed shops following the Covid-19 emergency.

An intelligent device that automatically counts people in closed rooms, shops… it is the Siemens LOGO! Born from an idea of Walter and Matteo Baldassa of the company of the same name in the middle of the emergency COVID-19. A smart system to quote the flow of customers within the company premises, and thus avoiding gatherings, equipped with an electrical system with radio control that allows, through a traffic light positioned at the entrance of the activities, to manage accesses from a distance. Siemens has thus supported Baldassa in the creation of an automatic system: the "SMART" column. Thanks to LOGO! 8, the intelligent micro controller, through a pair of photocells installed at the store's entry and exit points, it is therefore now possible to count the number of people inside the store itself. In this way LOGO! is able to understand whether the access of a customer who is in the queue can be enabled or not. If this is the case, the green light of the column is turned on, if not, the red light is turned on.
