The municipality of Warth expanded the wastewater
treatment plant due to the increasing number of overnight stays and increasing
day tourism from 5000 to 8600 population equivalents. Due to the limited space,
the general planner IBMR integrated the AnoxKaldnes - Veolia floating bed
process into the existing system and thus implemented it for the first time in
Austria on a municipal wastewater treatment plant.
Siemens Austria supplied the central cabling and
control technology including the integration of control cabinets for sludge
thickener, sludge dewatering and gas utilization for sludge digestion. - A SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1511-1PN, expanded via SIMATIC ET200MP, is used as the central control unit in the control room. A WinCC-OA
process control system takes over the system visualization. - Decentralized (PROFINET), 10 SINAMICS
G120 CU240E-2 PN frequency converters ensure the speed control of pumps,
positive displacement blowers and agitators. - The Siemens product range included
SITRANS process measurement technology for flow, level and pressure, as well as
the SIRIUS 3RA61 compact starter - in order to do consider the limited space
available. - The specially developed energy management
of the system with network monitoring from the SENTRON PAC series should also
be emphasized. - Connection of external controls with
Modbus-TCP
- Operation of the existing system
during the entire construction phase - Installation in very limited spaces - Consideration of explosion protection
zones in the area of sludge treatment and gas utilization
