Continental operated an old SIMOVERT drive from 1994 to control their mixing processes. Since the drive was obsolete and spare parts were not available anymore, the customer wanted a partner who was able to perform a complete drive retrofit and provide all suitable services which were necessary.
Siemens Service Experts replaced the old SIMOVERT drive from 1994 with a new SINAMICS S120 water-cooled drive. The modular SINAMICS S120 drive is a state-of-the-art modular system for high-performance motion control applications in industrial plants and machinery constructions.
The complete project management, assembly and commissioning was done by Siemens.
