IRIS TYRES (Eurl Saterex) is the leading tire manufacturer in Algeria and the 3rd in Africa. The core business is: 12+ tire types for Passenger Car Radial (PCR) and light trucks.The PCR tire plant in Sétif has a production capacity of 2 million tires a year.
The customer had the following objectives:
Increase manufacturing transparency with ERP-MES integration and e2e traceability.
Integrate recipe management into an e2e process from Formulated Product Design to MES.
Ensure full capacity utilization and optimize logistics integration with production.
Implement a fully automated tire production factory that would help optimize equipment utilization and ensure data transparency.
IRIS Tyres took advantage of the industry expertise of Black Donuts and SMART Controls and used a variety of Opcenter functionalities to provide an intelligent MOM solution. Based on great relationsship between machine suppliers and Siemens, our products for automation are an important component of the smart factory.
