On May 3 2019, the European NIS Directive (directive on security of network and information systems) was transposed into a Belgian national law. As Operator of Essential Services (OES), FARYS had to become compliant with this new cybersecurity law.

All four requirements for NIS compliance (Reporting, security, information & supervisory obligations) are covered by the NIS compliance 4.0 approach.

NIS compliance 4.0 was the ideal approach for us. It showed us exactly what we needed to do and helped us draw up a roadmap. NIS compliance 4.0 provided FARYS a clear roadmap to NIS compliance.
