According to the Building Electric Mobility Infrastructure Act (GEIG), from January 1, 2025, buildings that are not used for residential purposes and have more than 20 parking spaces are to be equipped with at least one charging point. In the transport sector, as in other sectors of the economy, the German Government envisages a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of at least 40% by 2030 compared with 1990. This ambitious goal is to be achieved through a rapid switch to electromobility. In order to increase the number of charging options and thus actively shape sustainable electromobility, charging an electric vehicle should also be possible at the German Tennis Association (DTB) National Base in Oberhaching.
As a technology partner, Siemens offers all interested parties comprehensive advice and support from planning to installation, commissioning and maintenance of e-charging columns. In Oberhaching, two 22 kilowatt charging points per column can be used to charge four vehicles in parallel with a total output of up to 88 kilowatts. With an average stay of two to three hours at the tennis base, a charge is achieved - depending on the vehicle type - that corresponds to a range of 150 to 300 km.

We also need to become more sustainable in tennis. Together with Siemens, we have now made the first serve.
