The customer wanted to optimize its maintenance and at the same time have a better service for its MV converters (2x SINAMICS GM150). In order to offer the customer a digital solution, he was convinced by SIDRIVE IQ. 

This project began as a pilot in March 2021 with the commissioning of the IPCs within the SINAMICS GM150. The GM150s drive critical blowers that are essential to maintaining maximum plant availability during 24/7 operations. With SIDRIVE IQ, Siemens aims to demonstrate how our analytical IIOT solution can meet the customer's goals for maximum availability and improve internal KPIs.

During an error, the customer was informed by a service technician and the problem was solved within a very short time. This has convinced the customer of our digital offering, which makes him want to equip significantly more assets with SIDRIVE IQ.
