AB Impianti needed a flexible SCADA system for their current use case. Openness to new technologies was considered a big plus. AB Impianti has plants all over the world and wanted to manage the download of project changes from the headquarters in Orzinuovi.

A successful story of machine builders that decided on WinCC OA as their standard SCADA system. The choice was motivated by the extreme flexibility of the product together with its power and richness in functionalities. The openness towards the integration of open source tools (SVN) has been evaluated as a plus.

WinCC OA perfectly matches our needs and expectations for a SCADA system able to successfully engage the challenges of the present and future of automation.

AB Impianti agreed that WinCC OA perfectly met their needs of openness and flexibility for a top-notch product, ready for the challenges of Industry 4.0.The final project they created was configurable in the field by non-SCADA-expert technicians, only via excel files. All the projects around the world will be maintained using the SVN open source tool.
