When reaching for a product on the supermarket shelf, hardly any customers ask themselves how it actually ended up there. In fact, there is a lot of sophisticated technology behind this seemingly inconspicuous process, which is carried out in Buchs using 12 palletizing systems. Containers with the various products must be stacked in a space-saving manner so that transport journeys can be optimized. This in turn reduces costs and benefits the environment. To ensure that this important process step continues in the supply chain in the future, the Mibelle Group has retrofitted its facilities in Buchs. 

The mapping of the palletizing system and controls in the NX and PLC Sim Advanced programs enabled virtual commissioning and saved a lot of time. After the retrofit, formula management and order management are carried out centrally in PM Control, with all palletizers served by MTP 700 Unified Comfort Panels.
