Project Goal: To analyze the throughput of a new robotic packaging line through simulation.


The main goal of this project was to verify the throughput of the new packaging line based on weekly plans. Additionally, we aimed to identify critical products by testing individual parts of the line.   
Finally, we conducted a supply line analysis to determine the optimal number of AGV trucks' shelves and evaluate the material throughput in the warehouse.   
Using the Plant Simulation program, we had all the necessary input data for a detailed simulation analysis, which we conducted with our solution partner Siemens - the Axiom Tech company.
One of the most critical parts of the project was simulating a sufficient number of AGV trucks.  
After running several simulations, we identified seven possible variants.The customer could choose the most suitable variant that met all requirements and priorities. Thanks to the simulation, we achieved the required line supply parameters with 10 AGV trucks instead of the originally planned 14 AGV trucks.

At the Nestlé Zora Olomouc plant, they performed an initial simulation. Based on the results, they decided to acquire a full license of the Plant Simulation software. This will enable them to simulate potential changes within the production line and other workplaces.
A traditional plant in Olomouc, which has been producing Zora brand chocolate and confectionery for more than 120 years! It is a historic factory, where specific production takes place in a multi-storey building.
