NEUERO realized the entire automation of its ship unloaders with components from Siemens. A SIMATIC S7-1500 Controller controls and monitors all the processes in the equipment. The HMI devices in the two cabins as well as the mobile HMI device come from the SIMATIC HMI family. The mobile device can be connected through a connection box mounted on either the running gear or the superstructure, so that the personnel can call all status and diagnostic data easily. This flexible operating concept ensures efficient service and maintenance.

The mobile HMI device can be protected by storing it in an air-conditioned container; for service and maintenance activities it is then simply plugged into the connection box and is ready for immediate use.
