The major challenge lied in the harmonization of the worlds of automation and IIP. Reliable communication was to be ensured without the need for additional interfaces. Moreover, the offered solutions were to be scalable.

The scalability of the SIMATIC IPC product portfolio and the openness of the WinCC Professional software allowed for the development of a new solution for the seamless integration of image processing in the automation concept.

Siemens panel PCs, the TIA Portal, the comprehensive range of Simatic PLCs as well as the excellent, highly dynamic cooperation with Siemens formed the foundation for offering a fully integrated industrial image processing solution to our customers within the PLC world.
