Implementation of a standardized control system on the existing lines. The new system operation should be standardized and as a result the production shoud be optimized and production quality should increase.
Usage of the Siemens SCADA system WinCC V7 with the option Simatic WinCC/IndustrialDataBridge to transparently exchange production data with the existing MES system. Also in use are the Simatic Process Historian and the Information Server for the long term archiving and the reporting of the process data because of better traceability and of quality.
Production optimizing by the use of a standardized control system
Fast target-oriented management decisions as reactions to production events because of the worldwide availability of the data
Increasing of the productivity
Growth of the product quality
Transparent data exchange from the shop floor up to the MES system
Fast localizing of errors in the production which leads to a higher availability of the production
Simple expansion of the heterogeneous control system scenery in case the production lines have to be expanded
Private
diary Bechtel was founded in 1908 and is among the largest and most outstanding
diaries in Germany. In the plant in Schwarzenfeld every day more than 1 million
kg of milk are processed to high-quality milk and cheese specialties. Due to the
continuous expansion of the production a wide variety of control systems and
PLCs which complicated the maintenane of the machinery. It was an aim to
optimize the production using standardization.
