In order to stay compatible in the future and to reach for the market leadership the plant needed to be modernized in a future secure way. Increaseing plant efficiency as well as the reduction of installation and maintenence costs were essential challenges of the project.

Rayong Engineering & Plant Service Co. (REPCO) provides engineering and maintenance services as well as system solutions for petrochemicals industries since 2002. As a leader in PVC products in Southeast Asia, Nawaplastic Industries Co. Ltd contacted REPCO in order to increase the plant's productivity to satisfy the ever evolving need of the market.

With a comprehensive system solution based on Siemens products a fully automated material handling was realized in a minimum of time. Powerful components such as the Advanced controller S7-1500, the compact decentral IO-system ET200 SP and Scalance X switches were combined to a performant, robust and future proof Profinet network.

With efficient engineering in TIA Portal and performant components a high performant material handling was fully automated in a minimum of time.

Due to Profinet a redundant, yet fexible and performant network was created which eliminates the risk of standstills.

Efforts of commissioning and maintenance as well as the footprint of components is significantly reduced and more efficient by the employment of the ET200 SP compared to conventional hard wiring.
