Robert Bürkle, Automation concept for door leaf manufacturing in batch size 1
Machine Building
Robert Bürkle GmbH
Request
from the Dutch door manufacturer Reinhaerdt Deuren (EK) for a fully automated,
order-driven facility for producing door leaf blanks with high flexibility
Future-oriented, customizable automation concept with the capability of responding quickly to production with high variety and special sizes.
High
plant availability, quick changeover times
It must be ensured that machines can be quickly and easily converted for small batch sizes or even one-off production.
Implemented with the use of Open Controllers on the various machine stations and controlled by the master computer. The Windows system runs on the Open Controller (visualization, quality and maintenance data, etc.) independently of the machine control system in the software PLC. The integrated safety concept in the software PLC of the Box IPC 427D master computer enables the situation-related implementation of safety functions. It can deactivate individual plant sections (e.g. for maintenance) while other machine stations execute collected orders.
