Bertram Elektrotechnik GmbH in Bevern, south of Hanover, develops and builds automation solutions in its third generation. The company manufactures the "Orientator", which is a standard machine for orienting bottles, glasses, cans or carafes during production. The change to the software-based Sirius 3SK2 has led to a whole series of improvements, especially concerning operator safety.
In the new generation of the "Orientator", software-based safety relays Sirius 3SK2 are used. They can be easily and simply parameterized with the Sirius Safety ES software and also have a higher performance range than the preceding Sirius 3TK28. The peripheral conveyor belts are secured by means of the simpler SIRIUS 3SK1. The safety evaluation is performed by Siemens' Safety Evaluation Tool.
