Automha, the leading company in the automatic warehouses sector, was looking for ways to increase the efficiency of the drive system as well as testing and validation of critical modes of operation for MOVER G6-PR. The MOVER G6-PR is a machine serving the new generation of automatic Supercap ES satellites, for storage and recovery of pallets inside multi-depth channels.
A solution was proposed based on complete digital twin DriveSim Engineer for the new SINAMICS S210 servo drive system, enabling mode testing and virtual commissioning in advance without Hardware. DriveSim Engineer is a complete digital twin of the Next Generation SINAMICS drives, with all parameters and configurations available, which are same to the real drive. Embedded in TIA Portal and Startdrive.  Given our extensive experience and feedback from over 700 customers that DriveSim Engineer shortens engineering and commissioning times by up to 50%, our proposal was a perfect fit for this challenge.
A comprehensive Digital Twin of the entire machine was created, including DriveSim Engineer. As a result, the customer was able to obtain the following benefits:
  • Save costs when conducting trainings without using real hardware. 
  • Test drivers to preset the correct parameters before commissioning. 
  • Test real machine and compare results with appropriate trace in different load situation. 
  • Save time through virtual commissioning before the hardware is delivered and installed onsite.
  • Postproduction operation for maintenance and training purpose.
