The library is expected to be handled by a service provider under defined terms and conditions. This arrangement reduces the interface to a single partner and Bayer CropScience is assured of planning security with optimized warehouse availability.

Bayer CropScience has entered into a service and maintenance agreement with Siemens, which covers all relevant disciplines relating to mechanical systems and control technology to ensure the customers goals are achieved.

The solution will increase availability in the event of unplanned maintenance work and ensure response and deployment times through coordination with a control center. The new agreement gives Bayer CropScience the advantage of a consistent contact person for the maintenance of all systems. Maintenance work can also be planned from a central location, with Siemens as the single point of contact.
