The technical consultant, swisspro AG in Baar, relies on Siemens as they were looking for a system that they could maintain themselves technically. This allows to meet different requirements depending on the interior design and makes building maintenance easier. Only Siemens components met these requirements.

When the sun shines on the building, two weather stations on the roof detect this and the blinds close fully automatically. This means that in summer the interiors do not heat up in the early hours of the morning and energy can be saved for air conditioning. The blinds are closed in the evening and at weekends - except in strong winds. If the wind sensors measure values that are too high, the blinds raise automatically. It is often complained that automatic shading systems are constantly running up and down depending on the weather. The automation specialist swisspro prevented this in the Quadrolith with a pragmatic approach: Once down, the blinds stay where they are. Anyone who wants can operate the control manually at any time and let more light into the room.
The Quadrolith with a total of 29,850 m2 of rentable space for 1000 workplaces is being built in a prime location in Baar. Pleasant working conditions are provided not only by the high-quality construction and cosy inner courtyards, but also by modern technology. The building automation is based on the international KNX building system technology standard - including the shading solution, which is equipped with Siemens components.
