As the local distribution grid operator in the Allgäu region, Allgäuer Kraftwerke GmbH intends to make the power supply and its infrastructure even more sustainable in the future. To this end, Siemens Smart Infrastructure is supplying the first gas-insulated, F-gas-free medium-voltage switchgear in the Allgäuer Kraftwerke grid area.

Like all other systems in the blue GIS portfolio from Siemens, this one also uses F-gas-free Clean Air as the insulation medium, which is based exclusively on natural components of the ambient air.
