The plant had an old automation system for a small portion in the brewing area and maintaing this was very challenging . Efficiency improvement with respect to the beer loss and performance of the Lauter Ton and other vessels were key concerns. Plant always wanted to minimize such loss. Anyone could log into the system and hence human intervention was always a key risk. Fast changing recipes required the brewers to be skilled with the new process quickly, tand this is again challenging
Migration of the existing old system in the Brew house was migrated to a central control and monitoring station (Software and Hardware) which combined Brewhouse and Celler. Braumat has virtualization capability, recipe control and management, trend and alarm management, batch reporting and Controlled access.
Today’s market is very dynamic, and our factory is strategically important to deliver on the demands for the market. With such a latest technology we gain the flexibility to efficiently manage the recipe and the process, minimize human intervention in the process and reduce extract loss. These are very important KPIs for our company. Hence, we consider this our step in the direction of “Brewery of the future” or digitalization.

MMB did a through evaluation involving our central maintenance, project and Technology department. Current features and continuous innovation with the product gives us high confidence to use Braumat in our process. Graphical recipe management, Route control possibility, Batch reporting, Replay modes, Efficiency, Mobile working etc are essential for our Brewery of the future goals. Siemens checked all the criteria’s for us.
