Virtual testing of machines with regard to design, electrical engineering, mechanics and programming
Bausch + Ströbel Maschinenfabrik Ilshofen GmbH+Co. KG, Filling and Packaging Machines, Special Machine Building, Ilshofen in Baden-Württemberg, Pharmaceuticals.
Digital twin for virtual commissioning, allows to simulate and test motion sequences at an early design stage, and virtually test design and functions.
Disciplines such as design, electrical engineering, mechanics and programming can work jointly and simultaneously on one project.
All results from the simulations and tests with the digital twin of the machine are returned to the data pool which is managed with Teamcenter.
In this context, Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA Portal) provides support in order to reduce the number of island solutions and increase the engineering efficiency.
What pushes us regarding the digitalization topic is our conviction that this will provide added value to the customer.

Consistent solution from a single source
In the development of special-purpose machines for the pharma industry, wooden models at a 1:1 scale are used in conventional machine engineering in order to test the design ergonomics respectively simulate the mechanical properties.
This is a time-consuming and relatively inflexible process.
Digitalization of the entire value-added chain: From the design (with NX MCD) and dimensioning phase to simulation und optimization at the in-house virtualization center through to commissioning and service.
