BELFOR DeHaDe, Retrofit of a a turbine rotor machine tool with profinet capable command and signaling devices
Machine Building
BELFOR DeHaDe GmbH / Gasturbinenwerk Berlin Siemens AG
Complete modernization of the drive and control technology
Some spaces had to be reserved for later operator control options
High demands regarding robustness and availability
In the modernized machine, BELFOR DeHaDe uses SIRIUS ACT commanding and signaling devices for the first time. They are not conventionally wired, but are connected to one another via a ribbon cable. In combination with the associated PROFINET IM interface module, up to 20 devices can be directly connected to the controller, a SINUMERIC 840D, via PROFINET.
Simplified engineering and enhanced diagnostics by direct PROFINET
communication
Faster wiring, saving on additional input cards in the
controller or a complete distributed I/O system
High level of flexibility: devices can be built in as a placeholder and
be activated later
BELFOR DeHaDe GmbH in Hamm specializes in machine reconditioning, overhauling and restoration as well as modernization and automation. Early in 2018 it brought a machine tool used to machine giant rotors of gas turbines to the latest state of the art in the Siemens AG gas turbine factory in Berlin. In so doing, the innovative Sirius ACT commanding and signaling devices (3SU) from Siemens, in combination with the PROFINET interface module, were used for the first time.
