Objective was to replace three old analog weighing systems that were used to control the dosing of fertilizer additive to compost base product. The old weighing and dosing modules were seen as "black boxes" where paremeters could not be downloaded or stored externally. As the dosing of additive is critical to the end product quality the new weighing and dosing system should be easy to maintain and to operate.

Siemens supplied SIWAREX WP321 weighing modules with SIWAREX DB digital junctionboxes to replace the old weighing modules and a HMI to visualize and operate the dosing system locally. The standard analog junction boxes were replace by SIWAREX DB digital ones where each loadcell is individually connected and closely monitored.
