• CPV’s Valley Energy Center is a combined cycle power plant in Wawa-yanda, New York. With two Siemens gas turbines, one steam turbine, and three generators it has an electrical capacity of nearly 675 MW. • Siemens will also service the plant’s major components through a long-term contract including remote diagnostics and outage services.
• The plant reduces water use by approximately 85% and captures excess exhaust heat to help to meet New York States’ sustainability goals. • As part of its long tradition of working with CPV, Siemens’ Financial Services supported this project, providing $80 million of the total $540 million construction / term loan.

Siemens technology provides reliable power to over 650,000 households and reduces the region’s dependency on older and less efficient generators. 
The plant is expected to reduce annual electricity costs to consumers by a forecasted $700 million while reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 500,000 tons a year.
