Elring Klinger
Dettingen Germany
ElringKlinger AG , headquartered in Dettingen an der Erms, Baden-Württemberg, is a powerful and reliable partner to the automotive industry. Be it car or commercial vehicle, be it electric motor, hybrid technology, or optimized combustion engine – they offer innovative solutions for drive systems in passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Objectives: Sustainability is increasingly finding its way into all business processes and poses major challenges for manufacturing companies. Lack of time, lack of skilled workers and the high complexity of the topic are just some of the hurdles that need to be overcome. In addition, there are various IT security requirements and the high legal requirements for more sustainable production.
ElringKlinger aims to achieve CO₂-neutral production in Europe by 2025 and in the USA and Asia by 2030. They partnered with Siemens who together, designed the company's digital transformation, which consists of three aspects: digitalization, automation, and standardization and is scalable to all plants worldwide.
It marks another milestone in the mapping of our products’ carbon footprint. It allows us to virtually map an important aspect of our products: sustainability.
