AI-based visual quality inspection capable of classifying brake pads
A camera connected to the S7-1500 TM NPU takes a picture of each brake pad. A Neural Network analyses the pictures and generates a quality indicator for the classification.

At this time when AI technologies are emerging as effective tools for inclusion on lines, learning that Siemens was developing an innovative solution in this regard sparked our interest.
