DHL targets to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and wants to electrify 60% of its global last-mile delivery fleet by 2030. In Singapore, it has added 80 EVs to its delivery fleet and therefore requires a charging system that is able to manage the electric load on its facility’s network, enabling DHL to monitor the EVs’ energy usage pattern and help with allocating charging slots to the vehicles. 

Siemens supplied 108 units of VersiCharge to dynamically manage the load via Open Charge Point Protocol and thus able to fulfill DHL’s requirement under a tight timeline of four weeks. Over two depots, the 108 units of VersiCharge Gen 3 chargers are used to charge DHL's EV fleet of 80 Citroen e-dispatch vans for overnight charging.

The company purchased 108 units of VersiCharge Gen 3 IEC 7.4kW AC EVSE from Siemens to supply and install it for the end user, DHL Express Singapore. DHL obtained the VersiCharge Gen 3 chargers to support their dynamic load management with sufficient power capacity to charge their electric vehicles simultaneously.
