Sustainability
Based on current state-of-the-art technology, it takes approximately 24 hours to fabricate a rotor blade blank. As a result of the "BladeFactory" research project, production time is to be reduced and processes made fundamentally more efficient and cost effective.
  • Consulting service and support for the project right from the word go (concept, design and commissioning of the machine).
  • Use of Siemens software & hardware: SINUMERIK, SINAMICS and SIMOTICS
  • NX CAD CAM with VNCK and shopfloor software were used.
  • Highest degree of flexibility in CNC hardware and software.
When developing new processes, it is crucial that we have an excellent link between the CAD, CAM and the control system.

  • The objective is to migrate this basic solution from a research environment to industry.
  • Cost saving potential of up to 25 % is achieved by leveraging automation in the overall process.
