Goglio SpA, founded in 1850, has always operated in the packaging sector, primarily serving end users in the coffee and aseptic product industries. With a global presence and nine production sites, Goglio has consistently invested in research and development, establishing itself as a market leader in both packaging materials and packaging line production.
The company needed a solution to predict and prevent machine failures on continuous-cycle lines, combining deep machine knowledge with machine learning and artificial intelligence.

To meet this need, Siemens provided both standard automation for the machines and advanced digital technology through Industrial Edge, including:

This solution was integrated into Goglio’s MIND platform, enhancing its capabilities by embedding AI and machine learning features.

The integration of Siemens Edge technology has enhanced the capabilities of our service offering on the MIND platform. This was made possible by combining our already stable Industrial IoT platform with machine learning and AI logic provided by Siemens Marketplace apps.

The integration of Siemens Edge technology has enhanced the functionality of the service offering on the Goglio MIND platform. By merging Goglio’s already stable Industrial IoT platform with machine learning and AI logic provided by Siemens, a completely new module will soon be added to the portfolio to address challenges related to plant efficiency and productivity.
