Crop cultivation takes place in an enclosed environment, where sensors control conditions such as humidity, temperature, or light cycle. The result is quality crops that have not been subjected to treatment with pesticides and herbicides and the farm uses about 90% less water than conventional agriculture. Every plant has to have a good climate, enough water with a right proportion of fertilizers and a correct light spectrum. The combination of these factors can prove a fast and a quality harvest. Hydroponics make it possible to grow crops practically anywhere and anytime, even in the desert. GreeenTech wants its technology to contribute to a sustainable solution to a potential future crisis around food shortages. The whole growing system is controlled and monitored by SIMATIC S7-1200 (S7-1215 DC/DC/DC). For controlling of the lighting ET200 DALI is used. All important values and the controls are visible in an Unified panel MTP1000. The energy for our control systems supplies PSU6200 24V/10A.
