Jarvis aimed to improve meat processing speed, precision, hygiene, and reliability while reducing dependency on manual labor under highly demanding production conditions.
To achieve this, Jarvis partnered with Siemens and implemented the Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) portfolio. This included SIMATIC S7-1500 PLCs, ET 200SP IO systems, WinCC HMI, and SINAMICS drives and motors, all engineered and programmed using the TIA Portal. The fully integrated system enabled advanced motion control, real-time monitoring, and remote diagnostics for their next-generation robotic solution.
With Siemens technology, Jarvis successfully doubled processing throughput, reaching up to 900 carcasses per hour. The solution significantly improved cut precision and product quality while reducing waste and maintenance requirements. Additionally, the standardized and scalable design accelerated time to market and provided Jarvis with a strong competitive advantage in the global meat-processing industry.
