Thanks to this optimization, we were able to reduce energy consumption by more than 60 percent.
With a 60 percent reduction in energy consumption for kitchen ventilation, the demand-based control system at the Johannesbad Group’s location in Bad Füssing has paid off and contributes to the sustainable operating concept. The retrofit of the system will pay for itself in less than three years. Thanks to this innovative solution, the supply and exhaust airflow rates were temporarily reduced to 25 percent of the nominal air volume during kitchen operating hours.
Highlights: Demand-controlled regulation of the kitchen ventilation system
- is easy to install in both existing and new systems,
- reduces the nominal airflow rate by between 25 and 100 percent during operation,
- lowers the energy consumption of the kitchen ventilation system by about 60 percent,
- amortizes itself in less than three years,
- improves working conditions in the kitchen.
