Flexible and compact system
concept ensuring high process reliability.
The challenge was to integrate an open
Motion Control system which allows module blocking of the individual areas.
The focus lies on cost efficiency and flexible product change.
The control and drive concept has been optimized to ensure high cost efficiency and competitiveness of the new system.
SINAMICS converters, the new HCS4300 heating control and the highly variable SIMOTION controller have been used for this.
Used Products:
SIMOTION Motion Control System
S7-1500
TIA Portal
IO systems for heating elements

Streamlined and standardized automation processes ensure increased performance, improved cost efficiency and shorter product change times.
A major advantage for the filling plant is the blocking of modules based on electronic motion control. The “distributed synchronization“ function of the Simotion Motion Control system allows to synchronize all movements which are relevant for transporting and handling the PET preforms respectively bottles on all machines using one master.
Thus, all blocked modules run synchronously in every operating situation, during startup and stopping, when changing the setpoint speed and in case of safety-related reactions.
