• The client was looking for quick access to measurements, device, and event information for regulatory reports. They wanted reliable data so that they did not have to depend on traditional methods to obtain data from devices on site.
• They wanted immediate availability of data that would allow them to monitor faults and understand the status and remaining lifetime of their MV circuit breakers.
• The customer’s objective was to maximize the actionable insights produced by assets in the furnace and rolling mill sections, enabling data‑driven performance optimization and improved operational efficiency.

The project began in 2023 and marked our first IoT implementation in Bolivia. The customer’s key use cases include near real‑time access to measurements, exporting data in .csv format for analysis, performing comparisons and generating report images, accessing and downloading relay fault records, and viewing alarms and events organized by device.

We delivered:

• 230/11 kV NXPLUS C switchgear.
• SIPROTEC 5 relays: 7SJ85 (3), 7SJ82 (9), 7SS85 (1), 7UT85 (2).
• Electrification X - network fault management (substation fault management) and asset management (circuit breaker monitoring basic).
• SICAM GridEdge on SICAM A8000 CP-8050.
