The top priority of customer is always to minimize errors, increase speed, and improve flexibility of process operations. Opdenhoff Technologie GmbH has tasked itself with developing innovative solutions for industry and, in so doing, with coordinating work processes of humans and robots.The task of the robot's controller was to perform accurate dosing based on a predefined recipe and to fill the bulk goods into the appropriate weighing device.

Collaboration between man and machine has long been a matter of course for us. The degree of automation is rising steadily in all industries, and the equipment and systems used are becoming increasingly autonomous thanks to innovative software solutions. Nevertheless, human manpower remains necessary, not least because it is humans who "breathe" intelligence into industrial robots.

For controlling the weighing task, Opdenhoff selected the Siemens SIWAREX WP231 electronic weighing module. This module is fully integrated into the SIMATIC S7-1200 control system, as well as in the Opdenhoff project, but operation without a SIMATIC CPU is also possible.

The robotic arm provides many benefits for weighing and dosing processes. For example, toxic chemicals can be safely dosed, and waste is significantly reduced thanks to the high-precision dosing. Another benefit is the automatic weighing of individual components based on a predefined recipe with the support of the Siemens electronic weighing module.

Opdenhoff Technologie GmbH located in the town of Hennef in the Rhein-Sieg district of Germany has tasked itself with developing innovative solutions for industry and, in so doing, with coordinating work processes of humans and robots. It provides comprehensive guidance and support for designing business processes.

For production processes, for example, Opdenhoff supports, among other things, the networking of equipment and whole factories. The company uses its own software solutions for this, while collaborating closely with partners from the automation field. The portfolio of services offered by Opdenhoff includes so-called OPC solutions.
