A customer had built an Automotive Stator Winding line. They were not sure if the SIEMENS Technology CPU (1517TF) was capable of achieving the performance level to satisfy their application requirements.
Together with SIEMENS, the machine builder created a Digital Twin of the Stripping Station using Process Simulate and NX MCD to give the axes real world mechanical properties. The Digital Twin proved that the T CPU was fast enough so they could now complete the build of their line safe in the knowledge that the performance was more than enough to handle the process.
The customer was able to prove the performance of the station and configure the application before the physical station was built. This drastically reduced their time to market.
