The aim was to provide new, young 50Hertz employees with the best possible practical training on protection concept design and relay settings calculation for transmission systems. The workshop had to be completed within a tight timeframe. Due to the technical complexity and diversity of protection, it was necessary to tailor the workshop precisely to the needs of 50Hertz.
All participants gained the ability to independently create and evaluate protection concepts, thereby enhancing their technical proficiency and value to the company. Direct involvement of Siemens experts provided practical, hands-on learning experiences across various protection topics, ensuring a deep understanding of the subject matter. Customized training materials can be used in the future to train additional employees.
