The PSD Bank Business Center is found on Bahnhofstrasse in Nuremberg, Germany. In addition to the central bus station, the building houses many other tenants, including a health insurance company, insurance brokers, various medical practices, and a nightclub. The building complex was to undergo partial renovation, and the individual office spaces, which are leased independently of one another, were to be equipped with a fire alarm system to ensure the best possible protection for tenants and employees.
The Neufahrn-based company Feuerschutz Strohmeier was commissioned to conduct the fire safety retrofit. This medium-sized company, with eighteen employees, has been installing, maintaining, and inspecting fire protection systems since 1995. The goal was a swift renovation using fire protection technology that was both modern and easy to use: Siemens was selected for the project.

Feuerschutz Strohmeier researched the market to figure out which provider could offer an easy-to-install, proven, and reliable fire protection solution for the existing wiring. In the process, they came across the Cerberus FIT fire alarm system from Siemens.

Together with Siemens, they planned the fire protection retrofit for the property. The focus was on minimizing effort while maximizing effectiveness. A fire alarm system was to be installed and commissioned in the independent rental units within a brief period.

To ensure fire safety in the building, the plan for the independent rental units included, among other things, 31 FC361-ZZ fire control panels (1 loop, comfort). ​
