Training industrial mechanics in CNC on machine tools in the equipment workshop should not disrupt ongoing operations. CNC training and programming for single parts and small batches should be possible not only on the machines themselves, but also in the office. Joint use of virtual/real CNCs should be realized in the training center and in the work preparation department in the equipment workshop.
Exploiting synergies of virtual and real CNC  The customer opted for the combination of (existing) SINUMERIK hardware on the machine tools and the SinuTrain CNC training system on PCs. This enables standardized online and offline training as well as part programming on both CNCs and PCs. In training as well as in the work preparation department in the equipment workshop. Both systems support the customer's preferred graphical machining step and G code programming, thus enabling all tasks to be completed more quickly.

SINUMERIK and SinuTrain are based on the same numerical control, which means that the real and virtual CNC provide the same range of functions. This enables simple, bidirectional exchange of CNC programs in training and production. The result is well-founded, practical, vocational training that teaches the functionalities of various technologies as well as, in addition to basic theoretical procedures, practical aspects such as scanning work offsets. Machine tools then remain free for production whenever they are needed.
