The Presales Support Team of Siemens advises customers on technical issues, evaluates existing systems, provides technical support, and works closely with product development. In addition, it conducts training, product demonstrations and customer workshops on site.
Objectives: The developers were faced with the task of setting up a complete Virtual LAB and integrating hardware (demo cases and structures) into the workshops. These had to be able to be switched directly and, especially for drive demos and the engineering of components, also de-energized.
The Presales Support was looking for a digital solution for analogue operations abroad. Virtual servers in the cloud with Siemens software such as TIA Portal were used, but with more than 20 participants, this system reached its limits.
The combination of LOGO! 8.4 and the KNX communication module LOGO! CMK2000 enables an efficient solution. The LOGO! acts as an IO device that remotely switches the power supply for the demo cases on and off.
From our point of view, the LOGO! is absolutely proven, because there is hardly any device on the market that has a cloud connection natively on board and at the same time has an interface to KNX.

The integration of the new LOGO! with cloud connection into virtual laboratories is an efficient solution. By eliminating the need for physical transport of demo cases, customers not only save time and money, but also significantly reduce the logistical effort and thus protect the environment.
