sinit is a manufacturing company in the field of plastic injection molding for various industries, such as automotive as an example. There 70 employees at Bad Schwalbach and in total at sinit ~300.
Objectives: In injection molding, parts may show typical quality deviations such as short shots - incomplete filling, overmolding and other deviations. The challenge was to reliably detect these defects during the production process in order to ensure consistent product quality.

Inspekto is used directly in the production machine to detect defects on plastic parts at sinit.
Siemens Inspekto provided a ready-to-use, self-learning visual inspection system that could be set up by the responsible project lead, Alessandro Turturro. The intuitive interface and guided workflows enabled fast deployment and reliable operation.
