Combining contemporary design with environmental sustainability. The owner's vision was to create an energy-independent hotel, capable of producing its own energy needs and optimizing all consumption.

MOOM Hotel needed to establish communication between different technologies: cogeneration units, boilers, chillers, absorbers, and the entire air conditioning management system. Using Desigo CC, a building management system that integrates energy production, distribution, and utility management into a single, scalable, and flexible archicture, we created three sub-stations working in perfect synergy.

Subsequently, a second 75 kWh cogeneration unit was added, increasing complexity by making the two systems work together to maximize efficiency. The solution proposed by SLK, a Siemens partner, was to create new integrations—from migrating all air management from the old automation system to Desigo CC, to the subsequent integration of the third wing of themed rooms. PC4 controllers were installed for the autonomous management of each environment. Electric meters on each output allowed tracking of all consumption, and through the Modbus protocol, all parameters of the cogeneration units could be read, enabling automatic activation of necessary resources. Furthermore, the ability to remotely monitor the entire hotel helps maintain competitiveness even during energy price fluctuations.
