TDK Electronics & Co OG operates its European plant in Deutschlandsberg and was looking for a solution to integrate and analyze data from its automated systems and various sources with a standardized platform that could be maintained for the next 15 to 20 years and take care of compatibility and support for future developments. The following requirements had to be met:

• Long-term availability of support and willingness of the supplier to help shape it.
• Realization of various future automation requirements, e.g. SCADA.
• Simple integration of new devices based on standardized libraries.
• Efficient introduction and implementation in other plants worldwide with a single partner to support the global roll-out with reduced interfaces and the associated interface management risk.
• Future development of the solution with in-house expertise through training and know-how transfer from the supplier.
• Plants in several countries require efficient support during implementation and operation in the respective national language.

"Industrial Connectivity Services' Connectivity Solutions" was just the right choice for TDK, creating a connectivity concept and roadmap together with our Siemens service experts. 
The WinCC OA platform from Siemens service experts made it easy to implement all the necessary technical functionalities. The desired standardized solution was initially developed at the main plant in Deutschlandsberg in order to be fully functional for the global rollout. The implementation was carried out on the basis of a use case and value-oriented agile co-creation approach. The functionalities to be implemented were prioritized with a focus on the fastest possible value creation for TDK Electronics and supported by know-how transfer and training of customer personnel in order to increase the contribution of customer personnel.
