Supported by EU funding & the Czech Ministry of Industry & Trade, T&T has been relying on Siemens & SIMATIC motion control right from the start when realizing an IS machine for the first time. The protoype of the IS machine will run at Glass Futures in UK & requires a high level of computing power as well as the experience to implement a reliable system in such an innovative & unique machine. SIMATIC motion control system: The IS machine is equipped with SIMATIC S7-1518T. By combining the CPU with SINAMICS S120 servo drives and the use of SIMOTICS T-1FW6 torque motors, high motion control performance is reached.
The high performance of the machine in the area of motion control is due to the combination of the SIMATIC T-CPU controller with SINAMICS S120 servo drives and innovative use of SIMOTICS T-1FW6 torque motors.
