Weckerle GmbH
Weilheim,
Germany
Weckerle GmbH from Weilheim, Bavaria, Germany is with over 1000 employees worldwide the leading global manufacturer of machines in the cosmetics industry. Suitable products had to be found for the new application in mask production. In addition to offering excellent quality and functionality, these products also had to save time due to the urgency of the situation
The drive solution consisting of SIMATIC S7-1500 TCPU and the SINAMICS S210 is suitable for mid-range applications. Visualization runs via a SIMATIC TP900 Comfort, and the signal processing runs via the SIMATIC ET200SP.
"Using the technology objects and ready-made library blocks, even complex functions such as camming can be configured easily in the TIA Portal - it was great fun actually!"
Martin Brunner, software developer, Weckerle GmbH
The overall solution helps the customer to save approx. 30% of engineering time and saves money in the cabling of the servo motors.
Instead of using the standard manufactured machines for the cosmetics industry, Weckerle has adapted to the current situation and implemented a specially developed line for FFP2 mask production (Made-in-Germany, CE-compliant). Among other things, this uses the S210 servo converter. There are a total of nine converters in the motion group, which operate in gearing and camming.
