INDUR Antriebstechnik AG is a partner of end customers and a system integrator that evaluates and implements the ideal drive and control concept for new plants, conversions or modernizations for machines, ranging from geared motors to comprehensive drive systems. In its long-standing collaboration with Siemens, many new plants and retrofits have already been equipped with innovative technology.
The customer had the following objectives:
Increased quality requirements for printed material
Minimization of waste in the startup process with on-the-fly change of printing units
Conversion with the shortest possible downtimes and without interrupting production
State-of-the-art, future-proof drive and safety systems
Siemens Print Standard and Converting Toolbox for application engineering
Know-how transfer and support of integrated register control by the Erlangen Application Center
"With the powerful solution for integrated register control, we minimize waste in the process. This is important because we have an expensive base material and a high throughput speed."
Jürg Spillmann, Managing Director and Project Manager INDUR Antriebstechnik AG
Significantly reduced waste due to improved register accuracy
Faster and more accurate system thanks to modern drive technology and integrated register control
Significantly shorter setup and changeover times (small batch sizes)
Easier quality assurance thanks to better production data recording in the printing process
For more than 30 years, Amcor Flexibles has been operating a combined coating & laminating machine with integration of three printing units for aluminum strips. As part of the partial renewal of the printing section, the main shaft was replaced by an individual drive solution for each printing unit. The entire unit is integrated into the existing control and drive technology and increases safety with advanced safety functions.
