CORIMA sells complete turnkey solutions for the production of easy-open cans and lids. The main objective is to simplify the controls on board the machine and reduce the size of the electrical panel to give operators easy access to mechanical adjustments.
The “Plastic Wrapper”: The main project's feature consists of wrapping packets of lids with shrink film. It stands out for its compact design and versatility that allow production speed and reduced format changeover times. To achieve the purpose, CORIMA benefitted from:
the introduction of integrated safety
the use of SINAMICS S210 compact drives with One Cable Connect technology on SIMOTIC 1FK2 motors
the management of asynchronous motors through SIRIUS 3RM1 modules.
Thanks to the continuous development of new technologies and the chance of having a supply that covers almost the entire project, it has been possible to reduce costs and development times.
Thanks to the use of Siemens' know-how and wide variety of outputs, the size of the electrical panel has been reduced by 50%.
