To optimize maintenance activities and improve service efficiency for a high amount of Medium Voltage (MV) Motor's distributed over customer plant, EZDK initiated a research towards IIOT solutions with an easy to use and transparent interface. This was a great chance for Siemens to introduce EZDK, our new IIOT solution for High Voltage Motors and Drives.

This project started as a Pilot initiative in April, 2020 on delivered by Siemens MV Motors for EZDK's direct reduction plant (DRP). Main and important requirement in a direct reduction plant, is to sustain max. equipment’s availability during its 24/7 operation. With SIDRIVE IQ Siemens tend to show EZDK, how our analytical IIOT solution can cover customers objectives on maximum availability and improve internal KPI's.    
SIDRIVE IQ installation took place on EZDK's roller bearing HVM Motor:

• Power: 1250 kW, 4 pole, 50Hz @ 6,6kV  
• Operation: Direct online @ +50C ambient temperature  

Even though ambient conditions in Middle East regions considered to be harsh, it was well taken care by our IIOT hardware.

Al Ezz Dekheila Steel Co. – Alexandria (EZDK), is a subsidiary of Ezz Steel and the largest steel manufacturing facility in Egypt. It is located in Dekheila, west of Alexandria, Egypt's second biggest city and its main port. Within their DRP plant customer had integrated our SIDRIVE IQ solution on a MV Motor which operates Main Air Blower.
